Born in San José, Costa Rica in 1996. Based in Tokyo, Japan.
Gabriela is an illustrator, painter, and fashion designer. She has been drawing on papers, walls, and clothes since she was about this high. Her book, Ratones Pérez, was selected for the IBBY Honour List 2026 in the Illustration category, representing Costa Rica.
